About DIFS International

DIFS was established in Australia in 1998 and relocated to the Middle East in the same year to extend its business operations and market network. The primary objective was to supply animal feed products to the Middle Eastern Region and this was successfully achieved in the early stages of business activity.

DIFS became a leader over a period of three years, primarily in the distribution of Dicalcium Phosphate (DCP) and Monocalcium Phosphate (MCP) as well as other animal feed products such as Fish Meal, Soya Bean oil and similar animal feed supplements. Subsequently, DIFS successfully expanded its operation from being an importer/distributor to being a Manufacturer of DCP/MCP and Fishmeal.

The Product

Both DCP (Dicalcium Phosphate) and MCP (Monocalcium Phosphate) contain two vital elements for farmed animals' health - Phosphorous and Calcium. Phosphate is an inorganic anion (negatively charged ion) of phosphoric acid.

By-Products

The two main marketable by-products from the production of DCP and MCP are Gypsum and Fertilizer Cake. Gypsum referred to as a universal soil amendment and the farmer's friend, while Fertilizer Cake is marketable to agricultural farmers as it has a reasonable percentage of P2O5 (16%), which makes it suitable for cotton, wheat and other grain farmers.

The Production Facility & Location

An area of around 11.25 hectares is sufficient to accommodate the production plant and associated infrastructure. The potential to secure an additional 6 hectares exists to accommodate future expansion, particularly if/when the fertilizer plant option is exercised.

The land for construction of the plant has been secured by DIFS at Charters Towers in North Queensland. The proposed construction and operation of the plant has indeed been welcomed by Local, State and Federal Governments as a massive boost to the local and domestic economies in both the short and long term. Rail, road, power, gas and water are all present at the site and enhance the viability, efficency and profitability of the enterprise.

The logistics of supplying both the domestic and export markets is easy and economical due to the close proximity of the rail network and the Townsville shipping terminal.

Investor Opportunity

There is no production facility existing in Australia meaning zero local competition. This factor gives DIFS a huge advantage and will help assure the long term viability and profitability of the plant. The existing Australian market for the product is supplied by imports from China and Europe. The DIFS plant will turn Australia from an importer of product into an exporter while providing highly competitive prices and quality products to the Australian market.
